Reopening GRACE Schools 2020-21

Virtual Learning

Family Survey: A family survey was sent to every registered family via email on Aug. 3 asking parents/guardians to select one of the following learning options for each enrolled student. The survey needed to be returned by Aug. 6. The options are:

* My student is able to return to school this fall for in-person learning

* My student is not able to return to school this fall due to risk factors related to COVID-19, and we wish to participate in virtual learning

* Please have the principal call me to discuss

Virtual Academy: In response to the desires of some families to continue to learn from home, GRACE is launching an online learning platform entitled Our Lady of Grace Virtual Academy (GVA) for students in PK-8th grade. This virtual academy will provide instruction at our high academic standard, while faithfully integrating our Catholic values in an online environment. Details regarding the Virtual Academy can be found HERE

Parent Consent: Parents selecting the Virtual Academy will be asked to sign a consent form prior to the start of school. This document outlines the teacher and parent commitments. The Parent Consent Form can be found HERE.

Continuous Learning: GRACE is developing a comprehensive Online Continuous Learning Plan should another “Stay At Home” order be issued by a governing body. This plan will only be used for the face-to-face students, as the Virtual Academy students will continue in that learning mode through a “Safer at Home” phase.
