St. John Paul II Classical School (SJPII) was established in fall 2016 by GRACE in partnership with the Diocese of Green Bay and sponsoring parishes.

There is much demand for Catholic classical education in Green Bay.  The teaching philosophy of a classical curriculum is rooted in the ancient Trivium of grammar, logic and rhetoric, grounded in truth, goodness and beauty.  Classical education stresses language acquisition and logic by developing skills in phonics, reading fundamentals, mathematics, science and the arts while underlining the unity of faith and reason. The education model is described as ideal for many families who are looking for development for their children psychologically, spiritually, and intellectually.

The energy surrounding SJPII continues to be enthusiastic.  Through Lead Teacher, Maggie Smith, and former Interim Headmaster, Carol Ricken, the vision of SJPII has been brought to life, establishing a strong foundation for continued leadership who will ensure successful futures for our students and our school.  Continue to partner with us as we expand SJPII and share the news of classical education with your fellow parishioners and neighbors.  Help us grow this school and share the joy of classical education.

SJPII is pleased to continue to share space and resources with Holy Family Catholic School.  The staff, students, parents and community of Holy Family Catholic School have been welcoming and embracing of SJPII families.  We are excited to continue our second year with the support of another GRACE school.
