Mary Schaupp, Executive Director of CatholicLink, and Abbie W. had the opportunity to present at the StudentLeader Academy at the National Catholic Education Association conference in Pittsburgh on April 3. The session was very well attended with 65 participants, including K-12 teachers and principals, and diocesan superintendents. Abbie was the primary presenter and she knocked it out of the park!
The StudentLeader Academy program has 59 new registered members. They have received positive feedback and are thrilled with the level of engagement from newcomers already! They are looking forward to continuing CatholicLink’s work with new schools around the country!
They also had an impromptu opportunity to share about the CLA Immersion (year one) and Core (year two) components during a session led by the Archdiocese of Chicago’s School Leadership Director. This session and subsequent conversation provided clear indication that there is great interest in the program, it uniquely fills a void among program options, and there is widespread recognition of the need to develop school-wide leadership capacity.
